Kninja Knitter

I will have #MarkItMonday pictures tomorrow, but I thought I would give a general update as we march towards the end of January. My schedule is relatively full, but I’ve been lucky to have some pockets of free time. As a member of AMC Theatre’s A-List, I’m availing myself of the variety of movies in the theater these days. A few of the ones I’ve wanted to see never made it to the location I frequent (e.g., American Fiction). But since the first of the year, I’ve seen six movies with one more planned for Tuesday night. They’ve ranged from the action-packed The Beekeeper to the fairly light-hearted Wonka. I was amused when I realized I had seen three musicals in a row, finishing with The Color Purple yesterday.

Last year I had set a goal to see at least 55 movies over the course of the year. I finished at 53, so that’s pretty darn good. There are periods when my schedule is too full to accommodate even one movie in a week, let alone the three allowed by the membership; plus there are times when there’s nothing out that I want to see (October, especially!). But I might be able to surpass the 55 goal this year. We shall see.

The munchkin is one of my “conflicts,” as I treasure my one-night-a-week with him, usually on a weekend night. And we often will watch a movie on a streaming service when he’s with me. This past weekend we watched Winnie the Pooh. 😍 But then he fell asleep before it ended…
