Today was super slow to get started, and it wasn’t easy. I slept for the better part of a twelve-hour period, and then took it slow. My back wasn’t happy with the weather system we were sailing through. I stayed in bed until after 11AM and finally made my way to lunch, then found a cozy spot to almost-recline in, keeping pressure off my back as much as I could.
Travel Tales
Of all the days for me to be out of sorts, this was probably the best one. The day was very rainy and foggy, plus we were just sailing in the Pacific Ocean until mid-afternoon. I made it back to my room to listen to some of the commentary, and a couple things sounded interesting. There were jellyfish out there and albatrosses. But it was raining and windy, so I was okay with staying inside most of the time. I did pop out as we were cruising through the Darwin Channel to snap some pictures, but it all looked the same…

I had a yummy dinner (with TWO desserts) and was finally walking upright so I could join the group for our fashion show. And then I ducked out for a couple sets in the Billboard Onboard lounge where Ellie and Alfredo played several of my requests. (“Material Girl” was well done for her first time!) They will be back on Tuesday night.
Since it was such a slow, easy day, I thought I’d catch you up on a few other tidbits that I didn’t share earlier in the week. Honestly, there’s been SO much with all we’ve done, it’s hard to fit it all in.
Monday – at Bluff Cove, while I was there to see the penguins, I was also really amazed by the coloring of the beach. I don’t know what causes this, and I haven’t had the time to investigate. But here’s a photo anyway.

Wednesday – while the catamaran was making its way across the Beagle Channel to the islands we were to visit near Ushuaia, there was a safety video playing. I found this particular slide extremely amusing.

I had a couple other images to share, but my app is having a tough time with them. I guess I’ll try another day.
I’ll have a fun Mark It Monday post to share tomorrow along with tales of our excursion in Puerto Mont. It’s creeping up near midnight, so I need to crash as that alarm will come pretty early.
Knit on. 🧶
