Kninja Knitter

I must say that I’m maybe a little too excited that the year began on a Monday. 😂😂😂 And I then found that, thanks to it also being a leap year, three out of four quarters in the year begin on. Monday.

Anyway, I’m disappointed in my lack of progress on my knitting this month. I was trying to think about why that’s the case, but I don’t have a clear answer. I’ve been busy, but that’s not unusual, and it doesn’t generally inhibit my productivity with the needles. So far I’ve seen three movies in the theater, and I think the first one didn’t have a significant amount of knitting when I realized that I dropped a stitch. But I’ve still been home a lot.

I suppose I won’t fret too much over the past two weeks about instead focus on what’s in front of me. The most pressing project right now is the Desert Vista Dyeworks socks, since I need to finish the pair by the end of the month to qualify for “all the things” including the discount accrual and free skeins. Yesterday I pushed to complete the heel turn on the first sock and started on the leg. That does mean I’m more than halfway done with the first sock, so I should be okay as long as I don’t have further lapses in the month. Today’s holiday helps!

My other socks in progress saw considerably less love this past week. In fact, I only finished the toe and started on the foot on Saturday evening at the movie theater.

And the last project I did anything with was the Bling T by Laura Nelkin. This one saw the biggest change…because I ripped out what I had done and started over. Laura introduced an update to the pattern which adds a long-sleeve option. The yarn kit I ordered has enough yarn to complete the long-sleeved version in my size, so it was a simple choice.

The movies I’ve seen this month are Ferrari starring Adam Driver, Wonka starring Timothy Chalamét, and The Beekeeper starring Jason Statham. Each has been entertaining, though of the three, Wonka is my favorite. It has so many wonderful surprises in it!

It’s warmed up to 9 degrees Fahrenheit outside, so I’m glad to stay in and knit, though I do have a couple things on my schedule that involve stepping out for a bit.

I will leave you with another photo of my grandson… he’s got six teeth now, but getting a picture of them is next to impossible as he doesn’t do toothy grins, nor does he like having his face touched.
