Quick update while I’m thinking of it…

I’m very good about grabbing the #MarkItMonday pictures before I resume knitting each week. But often I get distracted before I can craft a post to share.

This week I only worked on three projects because my work and personal schedules were quite busy. On Saturday I worked about eleven hours between 6:30AM and 10:30PM, and I think I only managed to knit for about fifteen minutes during those eleven hours. There was a five hour break in the afternoon and evening, so most of my Saturday knitting happened then.

With the Q1 knitting challenge in Laura Nelkin’s Ravelry group, I need to step up my activity on the Bling T if I’m going to finish it by the end of the month! It would also qualify for the Imagiknitting KAL hosted by the Imagined Landscapes podcast, if done on time!

I also cast on my Desert Vista Dyeworks socks for the month on Saturday. I still haven’t gotten through the toe increases thanks to the hectic schedule.

Most of my knitting time this week was spent on the test knit shawl that I can’t share yet. Given that all three of these projects (plus the Lolanyard pattern that was suspended for Sock Madness) are due by the end of March, I’m adjusting my prioritization. The shawl will get less love on a daily basis, just completing my daily stitch targets (plus one row in some instances), and the socks will be slower going so that the sweater gets more attention.

In addition to the intrusion of work on my weekend, I spent a lot of time away from knitting on Sunday as the community choir I’m in had our latest concert, featuring lots of great Disney music. We worked for ten weeks preparing the program, and we had a wonderful audience appreciating our efforts yesterday! My grandson was among, along with my son, and a couple friends brought their kiddos.

No change this week on the hat, and that project will probably languish for a while. I expect it will be one of the projects I take on vacation in April since it’s a mindless knit, even once I get to the ribbing.

No other substantial news to report since my last post. Now that the big release for work is out, I can turn my attention back to podcast ideas.

Knit on. 🧶

I purchased the SHaGs pattern and will try it on the socks currently on my needles.

Gosh, I so love Desert Vista Dyeworks colorways!! Love your Bling T yarn as well. I don’t think I’ve ever used Leading Men yarn but I’ve certainly heard about it.

I started getting Leading Men yarn from The Loopy Ewe in completing their knitting challenges. I love their color sense!

It sounds a challenge to fit in crafting time with working hours like that. I hope this week has given you time to knit more.
