Bonus post: Easter weekend special

I’m cranking on my knitting today since I have a couple projects with deadlines today. One has a bigger impact than the other… check back tomorrow for the final result! But yesterday was an Easter Special as my son and I spent time at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium with my grandson. The annual Eggs Paws and Claws event only lasts for two days, and it was fun to compare against last year’s event.

The weather was less than ideal, as it was cold and rainy in the morning. Boo! Most of the animals were out of view of the public. One exception was the polar bears. Zayne found the swimming bear very funny.

Lee, the 23-year-old male polar bear at the Columbus Zoo, was swimming laps.

One of the coolest things to do at annual events like this is to repeat photo ops to chart the kid’s growth. We may be more likely to track Zayne’s weight though, as Matt can’t hold him up as easily, the heavier the boy gets, lol. I love that Zayne is much more expressive now, too.

In Asia Quest is the tiger mural…
The inflatable duck, meanwhile, is just here for the event.

Before exiting the zoo, we paid a visit to the Easter Bunny. Here we saw a big difference in EB’s interaction, too.

So many changes, but Matt hasn’t changed, lol.

Now to get back to my knitting while I’m watching the first UFL game of the day.

Knit on. 🧶
