Kninja Knitter

Another Monday, but not a typical one for me. Right now I’m lounging in my hotel room in London. Yesterday I began my journey in the late afternoon when my son picked me up to deliver me and my stuff to the airport. My 6pm flight left on time, taking me from Columbus to Chicago-O’Hare where I had nearly four hours to chill before catching my connecting flight to London-Heathrow.

I only managed about three hours of sleep, which didn’t surprise me. That should make it easier for me to adjust to the new time zone. But I was something of a zombie as I ambled on until finding my driver. The one thing I did manage to keep track of was my #MarkItMonday progress photos.

My knitting took a back seat this past week to a lot of errands and housework. Not only was I able to remove my old corner desk from the office and set up my new standing desk AND relocate my other computer desk to the office, I hauled my old easy chair (older than me) to the rod to join the desk, and relocate my couch to a new position. There’s still work to be done in both rooms, but I’m very pleased with the progress.

Knitting progress, as I mentioned, was less than grand. There were at least two days this week when I didn’t touch any of my projects. And most days I only had a couple hours to invest. Vacation hopefully will allow me to catch up a bit.

I’ll start with the socks. Though not pictured here, I finished the first sock today, en route to my hotel from the airport.

I haven’t cast on the second sock yet, but that’ll probably happen tomorrow.

The rainbow shawl saw some love early in the week and then nothing. That’s the only project done anything with in my travels.

Lastly is the hat. I knit on this a bit, but most of it was on the overnight flight because I didn’t have to see what I was doing. 😂😂

I’ll blog more once I’ve gotten some rest. Three hours on the overnight flight is insufficient! I did manage to get an OrangeTheory workout in at one of London studios, followed by some wine and nibbles at a lovely spot next door. I’ll just end with my photo from the baggage claim area at midday.
