Well, I had grand plans for a second podcast episode in February but the short month was overloaded. And now I’m sitting at the airport waiting to begin my next adventure. More on that later. Let’s start with the knitting.
Stitched or Still-in-Progress
As I said, I’ve been incredibly busy. I did manage to get some knitting done in some pockets, though.

I managed to get the gusset increases done along with the heel turn and flap, so now it’s simple stockinette for a while! I’m planning to make this pair a lot longer in the leg than the foot.

Airport photos aren’t ideal, but my knitting stretch is about to begin! I’ll share more in a few days… this could be epic, lol.
This is a Year of Projects post. Officially the Group is in its 14th year, my first. If you would like to find out more about the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry, please check it out; it’s a very welcoming group!
Travel Tales
My latest adventure is about to begin, and getting here was quite the roller coaster. When I sat down at my gate, I confirmed that I left at least a couple things at home that I wanted. 🤦♀️ So it goes. I’m rolling with it.
The adventure here is all about a cruise around South America and I’ll be traveling with a group of knitters. Laura Nelkin is an our fearless leader, putting this together with her travel agent. We’re sailing with Holland America, and our group has a couple exclusive excursions as we start the party.
I’m flying to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and barring travel issues will have a night in town before boarding the ship. On Wednesday, we board, but we don’t sail out until Thursday after a day tour of the city, including some yarn-specific locations! Thursday night we sail out and head to Montevideo, Uruguay, home to the Manos del Uruguay yarn manufacturer. For my fellow knitters, we’re also stopping at Joji Locatelli’s studio, though sadly she’s in the US this week.
Much like I did last year when I traveled to the UK and Ireland, I plan to share snippets of my travels here, so stay tuned!
Grandson Glimpses
I had a visit from the munchkin earlier in the month, but I made a point of FaceTiming with him this weekend. He was chatting up a storm (and the parrot also curses like a sailor 😂), and he showed me his new toys. Sometime I really should grab a screenshot when he tries to share with me, lol. This time, he put his fork up to my face on the phone. 😆😆 He also kisses the phone which is super-sweet.

It’s time to pack my bags up again. We start boarding in 30 minutes, and I want to start knitting before that.
Knit on. 🧶
