Sweater Spotlight: Body Building

It’s been five weeks since I cast on this sweater; and while I was slow to get moving on it after casting on, I’ve managed to gain momentum fairly well. Last week I joined the front to the back, so now I’m working in the round as I lengthen the body.

The chart row varies between the front and back, so I’m very glad I have the KnitCompanion to help me keep track! And since I’ve been working the same stitch combinations and cable designs for a while, I don’t even have to reference the chart very often.

I will say that this is not a pattern that I would knit without a cable needle. There’s one cable column in particular that would present a huge headache if I were to try that!

I am now two weeks ahead of the revised schedule, which means I could have it finished by Christmas. That’s especially true if I continue to exceed my daily rounds target consistently! It helps that I have plenty of entertainment on the television to keep me company while I knit. My next milestone is to hit the halfway point in the body, roughly twenty rounds from now. I should get there within the next week.

Knit on. 🧶
